Camera Malfunction Halts Hungary Friendly Briefly

(MENAFN) A potentially dangerous incident occurred during Hungary’s international friendly against Kazakhstan on Tuesday when a spidercam mounted above the field suddenly fell onto the pitch at Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen.

According to reports, the suspended camera system detached from its support mechanism and crashed onto the playing surface while smoke was seen coming from the equipment.

The device reportedly landed just a short distance from a cameraman working near the sideline, raising concerns about what could have been a far more serious accident.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The unexpected equipment failure temporarily stopped play before the match resumed. Hungary eventually secured a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan.
